It was easy to find the article about Ryan Cassidy. Michael tossed his tablet onto the bed in disgust.

Cassidy wouldn’t have dived into the now-toxic waters of Evergreen Lake himself. He might have hired someone to do it, but more likely he’d just asked around—asked Nicole, or even Phil Rodriguez. Maybe he’d even assumed that Michael's leaving town was the random act of someone unstable chasing figments of his imagination. Would the man really try to track him down? Nicole couldn’t give away any details about the expedition because she didn’t know any. The sailing of the Argo had received some attention from paparazzi in San Francisco who were curious about all the equipment that had been loaded aboard, but there was no reason for Cassidy to make that connection.
