Naïda is weak. Weaker than she has ever been since her near-death just before bonding with Michael. At that time the replication and deliberate mutation of her genes was interrupted in transition and her body had begun to fail. The new weakness is only fatigue from a profligate expenditure of her resources for far longer than was safe. A simple cause, but no less dangerous. It has been necessary.
