Wedding week pt 2

1316 Words
Andrea ......................................... It's the night before Amber and Eric's wedding, and one would typically assume that we're having a crazy bachelorette party….but that's not quite Amber's style. She is a pilot by trade and very methodical. Maybe that comes from her queen genes. She would have been our queen. If our world hadn't been endangered hundreds of years ago. We're all lounging by Amber's pool and chatting. Being this free, and having all my sisters around me, is something I will miss. We fought a war together and won. There is a bond there, not just given by the moon goddess. I trust these women with my life. So Andrea, what's it like being engaged to a god?" Asks Alice teasingly. Alice and Amber are the oldest of all of us, and it shows. She is the most creative and well-dressed of all of us. I turned to her teasing smile and almost wanted to roll my eyes at the suggestive glint in her eyes. "So far, it's nothing special. He seems to like my company, but he hasn't kissed me or tried to hold my hand even with the mate bond. I don't know. Maybe he had a girlfriend or something. Or he doesn't find me attractive enough." I say honestly. I hear Amber choking on her wine and gave her a pat. "Andrea, have you seen yourself? You're 5'10 and have the body of a mermaid. You forget that you're a goddess in your own right. He's probably just being nice. You just signed your life away. What you do expect him to jump your bones in the first two weeks?" Says Amber, with a slight smirk. "My wolf would love if the last part happened, but I guess you're right. We both ended up with mates who like to take things slow as snails. Not as fast as wolves". I say back. "Wait, mates? You're mates with the Son of Hades? How is that possible?" Asks Ashley. "Oh, my Goddess!!! I forgot to tell you all! The Moon Goddess made us mates!" I say quickly. "What???" They all say at the same time. "Andrea, how could you not tell us this? After all the times we showed up to check on you in the past few weeks." Said Amber. "I just...I don't know. It is so weird between us." Come to think of it, I'm not sure why I didn't introduce him as my mate. He met all of them between all of their visits, and I just introduced him as Cole. I then explain what happened and how I met the Moon Goddess. She is friends with the Goddess of Mars. The negotiations took so long because they wanted to get the Moon Goddesses' blessing before the preceding. Considering I'm a part werewolf and one of her descendants. "Yes, the Moon Goddess said that she was fond of Cole. So she made us mates." I said with a smile. "Well, that's a good sign." Said Mila. "He must be a good person if the Moon Goddess okayed the match," said Eva right after her. "I guess so," I reply back. "Is he still coming to the wedding?" Asked Alice while pouring herself another glass of wine. "Yes, he even seemed excited about it. But, he really hates being in the underworld." "I can't say that I blame him," says Amber. "What's he like," asks Camille. "Tall, dark, handsome type. With the face and body of a god. He likes to travel too. He watched all the old corny surf movies I love and doesn't complain. I don't know how to read him through. He's so friendly. I don't want to be friends that sleep together." "He sounds dreamy!" Says Ava. "I wouldn't worry about the last part, my dear. You have to remember that he doesn't have a wolf. His emotions are moving at a human's pace. So give him time to fall for you" says Alice while rubbing my arm. We all return to our pasta and wine. We're several bottles deep when my phone lights up. "Oh! It's Cole!" I say quickly while heading inside. "Heyyy," I say as I answer. I can hear my sisters laughing in the backround. He tells me that he is here early. Naturally, my wolf gets excited at the thought of possibly seeing him before...but then he lets me know that Eric invited him to the bachelor party. Aw, I guess that I'll see him tomorrow then. "Cole was invited to the bachelor party. I guess he arrived right as they were leaving, and Eric invited him." I tell the girls as I head outside. "Andrea, you already have a crush on him!" So says Ava while swatting my arm playfully. "I do not," I say back as I cross my arms. "Yeah, you do. You're glowing after one phone call." Says Amber "Ugh, I mean, can you blame me? He has the face and body of a god!" "Yeah, you've said that twice now. Gurl, you need to get that wolf of yours under control." Says Ashley. "I already have her under control, thank you very much!" I say with a playful stomp. This is what I miss the most about being here. The warmth and the laughter. They all laugh at my silliness. Exactly what I wanted. As much as none of us wanted to, Alice convinces us to go to bed. No use having extra bags under our eyes. __ Cole I came here early hoping to see Andrea, but instead, I've been invited to the bachelor party by the groom himself. I'm currently in the front seat of his Jeep. I guess the plan for tonight is some late-night surfing and drinking on their private beach area. "So, I hate to be this person, but I hope that you realize that you're engaged to a woman with six sisters who are Demi God's, most of which have mothers similar in strength and with Alphas for husbands. So don't f*** with her heart…. Amber is forgiving, but I would not get on her wrong side. She is fiercely protective over Andrea" He says this in a very neutral tone. I nod. "I don't plan on f*cking with her heart. My father might not have taken his marriages seriously, but I do. Especially with someone as special as Andrea." "Well, as long as you're nothing like your father, then we should be good," he says, looking at me directly. He's trying to see if I back down or look away. All signs that I'm a liar. I meet his gaze and don't back down. We're parked on a beach area with tiki torches, large camping tents, and a bonfire. Eric tilts his head to the side, like he is still deciding, and turns to get out of the Jeep. "I had my beta set up a tent for you. Have you surfed before? I have several glow-in-the-dark boards for this occasion." "I have a few times when I was in the UK." "Sick! I've never had a chance to surf in the UK." As we get out, another young guy comes up to us, and Eric introduces him as his beta Drew. I look around and notice the rather large group of men here. All of these werewolves are similar. Swaggering warriors, but Eric has the confidence and posture of one in charge. "Dude, I can't get this fire going. It's too damp," says Drew to Eric. "I can help with that," I say as I walk over to the pit and snap my finger to conjure up some flames. "...is that hellfire," asks Drew looking afraid. I chuckle. "Not quite. That is reserved for the despicable and guilty, but as the son of Hades, fire is an easy element to conjure.". Drew shrugs and hands me a beer. "Welcome to California."
