A few months later...
Jace was pacing around the room impatiently. Sophie was whimpering in pain. She was in labor for three days, yet their son refused to come out. Jace was angry at his baby for making Sophie suffer for this long.
"I swear I am gonna teach this baby a lesson if he makes you suffer for so long." He said in his rage.
Sophie chuckled despite being in pain. She winced to suppress another cry of pain. Jace was cute when he was sullen.
"It's alright, hubby. I can endure this pain if it is the cost of the happiness our little bundle of joy is bringing with him."
She motioned her hand to call him near.
"You need to relax. Okay?" She held his hand as another wave of pain shot through her stomach. This time it was stronger.
