The following week was surprisingly quiet. There was no communication between Lily and Charlie. Except for a few inquiries about wedding arrangements from James,It felt as though the events of the past week had evaporated, leaving an air of silence in their wake.
Since Charlie back，the whole company is like a well-oiled engine speeding up, accelerating without daring to pause for a moment.
Charlie holds meetings every day and listens to employees' work reports.
Lily and other secretaries are responsible for sending emails to employees participating in the meeting. They also have to arrange the meeting site and are responsible for related logistics work and information collection. They are also very busy.
Lily finally back to her peaceful life. Strangely, her superior haven‘t mentioned to fire her anymore.
Although they haven't spoken to each other this week, Lily discovered that Charlie is a real workaholic.
Apart from meals and meetings, Charlie remained confined to his office, with no time for rest whatsoever. Nevertheless, as the workday neared its end, his mental state remained remarkably energetic.
Lily observed Charlie, who was dining nearby. It had to be admitted that, regardless of his narcissism, his appearance was indeed remarkable. He possessed the kind of allure that justified such self-assurance. His jawline was flawlessly sculpted, and his eyes exuded depth and vitality.
As Lily contemplated these thoughts, Charlie's eyes unexpectedly lifted, and his profound yet captivating gaze abruptly intersected with hers.

Lily felt her heart beating wildly, and she felt inexplicably guilty.
She hurriedly walked towards the restroom.

Following the presentations by the finance department, technology department, and R&D department heads, it was now the turn of the head of the sales department to deliver their report.
The report is too long , comprising over a dozen survey reports from the sales department detailing their anticipated goals and current status for the quarter. The sales director has been speaking continuously.
Charlie waved to stop.
The director had nervous sweat on his forehead：“Mr...Mr. Charlie?”
“Today's meeting is suspended”Charlie said.
The air in the entire conference room instantly solidified. The executives from these departments dared not even breathe, for they all knew that Charlie was a person who didn't show his emotions easily. The calmer his expression, the more serious the matter at hand.
The sales director was butterflies in his stomach，He's scared his career ends today.
Why only stopped when he was talking?Why not stop on finance department or technology department?Why is he so unlucky?！
But the director still felt confused with what’s wrong with the report，He asked under pressure：“Do you have any questions, Mr. Charlie?”
Charlie said casually：“Nothing，I just have an urgent matter now.”
The sales director：“?”
Others:“?”
James felt confused too ,he said： “Mr Charlie, i remember there are no other business schedules for today.”He couldn't imagine what could be so important for the CEO to interrupt such a crucial meeting.
The executives looked at each other, realizing that not only was the crisis averted, but there was no need for overtime meetings anymore?
“I know，”Charlie donning his coat, exuded a dashing presence, signaling the end of the meeting，“ Its about personal，I'm going to get my marriage certificate today.”

Charlie had not anticipated that the news of his marriage would receive such enthusiastic blessings.
As it was a contractual marriage, he harbored modest expectations for marital life, hoping primarily to fulfill his grandmother's wishes and dispel the rumors circulating about him and the eldest daughter of FES.
Charlie nodded to express his thanks, and then left the meeting room with James.
