Chapter 9: Charity Event

In the limousine, they all were talking. Victor asks Emily if she has a boyfriend, Ava laughs and replies "Now she doesn't have but before she used to date 2-3 boys at a time. Nowadays she is more serious I don't know why?" Emily replied to her saying "Oh shut up Ava, before I was just having fun now I want to be serious in life." Victor says if this serious girl says ok I want to date this girl, Emily says oh yes you can date this girl, but a warning to you if you cheat on this girl,this girl will hunt you down even if you are a hotshot lawyer, all of them laugh at her. Ethan says "Oh buddy you have got yourself in big trouble." Victor says "And I love this big trouble" he says kissing Emily's cheeks. Emily turns to Ethan "Ethan, oh don't get shocked I am not your employee to call you boss or Mr. Ethan, so to the point, I was telling you I will hunt you even if you hurt my friend, she is the only one in my life who has been constant since college." Ava hit her friend and said "She is joking don't worry sir" Ethan looks at Emily and says with a smile "If I date her I won't make her sad that's for sure." Ava blushed looking down. The driver says sir we have arrived. Ethan looks at Victor, he understands he tells Emily "Come babygirl we have to get down," even Ava was about to get down, Ethan holds her hand and says "Let them have their own moment in front of paparazzi, we will get down later and also I also want my own moment with my date, and don't get scared they will just take few photos and then we can go inside." After a few minutes they both get down. As he was the CEO everyone started to take photos, they both stood at one point, again every one clicked photos, and one of them asked who is the girl beside him, Ethan says "She is my date, he looks at her as if he asking her permission to tell her name, Ava blushes and slightly nods her head, he continues saying "her name is Ava Windsor and that's all for now" they both leave, after taking Ava's hand.

Inside the hall, Ethan and Ava were going to their assigned table along with Victor and Emily. As Ava and Ethan entered the hall all the office staff started to gossip, Ava's team comes forward, they come near Ava when Ethan was busy talking to someone else, Rachel excitedly talks "We were all thinking who will the boss's date today, you were with us only and didn't tell us, but you both are looking great together." Ava replies to Rachel "Guys there's nothing to tell I'm only his date for today from tomorrow I'm also only his employee." Ethan heard her statement he was both angry and sad he was about to tell something when Victor stopped him saying it was not the right time. And when they saw Ethan and Victor all of them retreated. As soon as Emily sees Ava she says "Ava you have done a good job with the event, and you were brave outside, I was scared for you after seeing that many people outside and that camera lights continuously, I'm happy you made it inside." Victor also says "Good job with the event Ava, and decoration is perfect. Ethan was telling me that you have changed decoration, after seeing this Im proud of you girl, no one has attempted this but it's looking really great and Catherine will be very happy to see this." Ava blushed and said "Thank you sir and Emily thank you, also you are exaggerating I can survive many people, but ya I forgot about paparazzi and was nervous a little." Ethan said "Yes when I saw the decoration I also said the same thing Victor." Victor smiled at Ethan and turned to Ava and told her "Ava you don't have to call me sir, I'm not like Ethan controlling everywhere" said with laughter. Ava said yes sir and everyone laughed.

Ethan went on stage talked about the charity and raised funds for it. Also about why the charity event was held. After finishing his speech he came down. He saw his mother and father waiting for him. He went to them and was talking with them. Later, he took them to his table, where they saw his friend and his date. Henry and Catherine talked with Victor asking how he was and why he hadn't come home and all. Later they saw the girls. Ava and Emily greeted Ethan's parents. Henry Blackwood talked with both of them and while talking to Ava, Henry said "Ava dear, after many months he chose his date himself mostly Alex or Victor used to set him up with someone, be there for him girl, I guess he likes you" he whispered the last sentence Catherine didn't talk much with Ava, Ethan saw his mother's angry face, so he came in between and told her that "Mom you were asking about decorations right, it was all done by Ava here." Catherine told Ava she did a good job and was about to leave, when she saw her friend Cecilia Markova and her daughter Cassandra Markova. Catherine called both of them. As they came Cassandra went beside Ethan held his hand, but Ethan made her leave his hand but Cassandra pouted at Ethan and turned towards Catherine and said "See aunty he hasn't forgiven me still and he is not talking to me." Catherine smiled and told her "Give him time girl" and turned to Ethan "Ethan take Cassandra outside and talk with her no" Ethan replied "Mom Cassandra and I are finished chapter and I'm not talking with her now or never, I only invited them because you are friends with Cecelia, and also dance will start now as charity event was successful I want to have dance with my date." He turns to Ava and asks for a dance Emily pushes her forward and Ava ends up in Ethan's arms. Ava responds yes. And here Victor also takes Emily for dance.

As music started Ethan took Ava's hand and they both started slow dancing. Along with them Victor and Emily joined slowly everyone joined them. As Ethan and Ava were dancing everyone was talking, most on how the hell did she manage to grab him and few on how beautiful they both were looking together. After dancing all 4 of them sat down at the table. Both Henry and Catherine came to them, Henry asked Ava for a dance where she looked between Henry and Ethan, Ethan nodded at Ava,so Ava went with Henry. Henry may look intimidating but he is a calm and happy person once when gets to know him. Ava was dancing with Henry, Henry asks her "Dear don't get scared, I like you, I'm seeing Ethan happy after so many months you make him happy. If you have any problems with anyone you can talk to me dear." Ava was happy to hear that, as she didn't have a father she was happy to listen to him. Ava's eyes teared a little bit, and she said "Yes sir" Henry asked with concern "Did I say something wrong dear?" Ava replied "No sir, no one has ever talked to me with this much sweetness and I am missing my parents whom I have never seen after talking to you." Henry was touched by her words he hugged her, she was nervous for a second then hugged him back.

On this side Cathrine was telling Ethan, he was making a wrong decision by choosing someone over Cassandra, Cassandra is good girl he has to love her and marry her but Ethan got angry and told his mother "Mom that's not gonna happen you don't know what she has done to me and I guess you won't even understand even if I tell so no, I will be leaving now bye mom" he said to her and turned towards Victor and told I will leave now, but besides going towards he went where Ava and Henry were there, he saw Ava hugging his father with smile and tears in her eyes, he was confused what was happening when Henry saw Ethan he called him and made him stand with Ava and told Ethan "Ethan my boy this is the first time I'm happy with your choice, Ava is really a good girl, bring her home next time" Ethan says " yes dad, if Ava is ok with coming, then I will bring her don't worry and I need to leave, mom has been struck on that Cassandra topic and has bugging me again" Henry sighs and tells I will talk to her Ethan you go now and Ava hope to meet you soon" Ava smiles and says sure sir. Ethan takes Ava's hand and they both leave the hall. As they both left Emily saw that and asked Victor he won't hurt her right? She is very soft and kind of something bad happens to her, she will never believe in love again or talk to any men." Victor took a deep breath and said "Emily for sure Ethan won't hurt Ava on purpose, rest we have to see how it goes between them." They both silently watch as Ethan and Ava leaves hand in hand.
