Chapter 14

The next three days went annoyingly slow for Ava. Ava didn't understand why she was feeling like this. Whenever she came to the office she would immediately think of Ethan and she would miss him. These three days she came to the office finished her on time and left with everyone else. At home mostly she was alone as Emily was having dates with Victor. On the 3rd day while coming home she bought ingredients to make chocolate cake for Ethan. After paying the cashier she came out of the supermarket thinking why is she excited thinking about Ethan coming back and why is she baking him even if he didn't ask her, thinking that she went home.

On this side Ethan was in a continuous meeting but was also missing Ava. He was also surprised himself, even when he was in a relationship before he didn't feel this. Mostly whenever Ethan's doing his official work he doesn't remember anyone, but now he is not able to get Ava out of his mind even during meetings. So when he finished the meeting on the third day, he talked with everyone and told them he would leave and told Alex to call the pilot. Alex asked Ethan if he had any important work, as the pilot is somewhere else and he will be here in the evening. Ethan was frustrated hearing this, but couldn't do anything so he went to his hotel room, thought of calling Ava but didn't call her as he wanted to surprise her. In the evening they left the US.

The Next morning Ethan came to the office early hoping Ava will be early also. In front of the office he saw Ava getting down from the cab, but besides going inside she was about to cross the road. He saw her and got down from the car and told the watchman to park his car. And called Ava. Ava saw her phone, seeing the caller ID she had the smile on her face and picked the call. Here Ethan was looking at her, seeing her smile he got happy. When she picked she said "Hi", Ethan replied "Where are you going looking that beautiful?" Ava looked at herself and then raised her head "where are you? Are you talking to me while looking at me? " Ethan laughs and says "Yes dear, just turn around and don't cross the road yet" Ava turns around, and sees Ethan and blushes. Ethan goes near her and whispers in her ear "Someone was happy seeing I was the one calling." Ava blushes and says "It's not like that....." Ethan says "Ok ok don't get embarrassed I was just joking. And where are you going, the office is that way" Ava replies "I wanted to get coffee, I was not able to sleep till late in the night. So I got up late." Ethan says "Oh ok, let's go I could also use some coffee after a late night flight. And also why were you not able to sleep, is there any problem you can tell me." Ava blushes and replies nothing. They both go to cafes. Ava smiles as the receptionist and then goes to order coffee Ava asks him "What's he want?" Ethan says "You tell me I will order for both you go and sit." Ava says "No, I can't do that you are my boss I will order" Ethan sighs and says "Ok we both will order" Ava smiles at him and then orders Hazelnut cappuccino and Ethan orders double shot espresso for himself. And they both sit at the table. Ethan tells Ava "Is there anything special today, you are looking beautiful. Ava blushes and says "Nothing, I was just in a mood to get ready I guess" she says looking at herself. Ava was wearing a navy blue one piece with baby pink eyeshadow and powder pink lipstick. Ethan says "I thought you got ready for me, as I was away and you missed me." Ava just blushed but didn't deny or say yes. Ethan smiles at her. The waiter gets their coffee to them. They take that and leave. They both enter the office together. The receptionist greets Ethan and Ava. Ava greets her back, Ethan nods his head. While in the elevator Ava says "Sir you are difficult to understand you are smiling and talking when you are outside, but in the office you are kinda something else" while saying the last few words she knew she said something wrong, so she didn't tell the complete words what she wanted to. Ethan laughed at her statement and asked "What do you mean by something else Ava? Also I have to be strict with others Ava, otherwise everyone will take me for granted." She just nods her head. They both go in different directions for their office.

In the office they start doing their work. Rachel was screaming, hearing that Ava ran as she thought there was some problem only to see Rachel hugging Alex and smiling. As they all saw Ava, Rachel stopped screaming. Alex greeted Ava, and told Rachel they will go for dinner in the evening. Ava went to her cabin and started working. In the evening she was doing her work without watching the time, as it was office ending time, her team staff came and told her they will be leaving, she saw her watch and told them bye and she will also leave. She packed her bag and got ready to leave. On the other side even Ethan finished his work and came out of his office near his lift, he stood there. Ava also came near the lift and saw Ethan standing there, she greeted him and went in front of the employee's lift, but Ethan pulled her and said "You can come with me, don't waste electricity." Ava nodded and got in the lift with Ethan. Ava was standing quietly, Ethan was looking at her. Ethan asked Ava "Hey when are you going to give a treat to me Ava?" Ava smiled and said "Ummm..... Whenever you want I can bake you something." Ethan replies "Then bake me something today. I want to eat something sweet today." Ava says ok. They both go to his car and get in and go towards Ava's home.
