If I had been a storm of reckless, boiling rage yesterday, today I was as cold and dead as an iceberg. Kristine and I had completely separate general lecture tracks today, which should have felt like a relief. Instead, it made the suffocating atmosphere ten times worse. The quiet space between us wasn't peaceful; it was a wall of unspoken words that both of us were too proud to reveal.
