A helpinghand

Korg is visibly startled, as silence evolved amongst them. At this point, his sister could sense that something was off. Korg is a very fearless and straightforward person but the look on his face tonight was something she does not seem to explain. Why did his face go so pale at the mention of someone's name? Korg on the other hand was scared to his bones. For two years now he had tried to keep Linda a secret even his Beta assistant had no idea of their affair how could his sister? He feared she might spill words to the wrong ears. Although she has been terribly sick for years now, even the doctor confirmed she had an aneurysm a fatal brain disease, and would die anytime soon because she was diagnosed late. This illness had made her an indoor person, so how likely is it that she would have known about Linda? Disbelief crushed Korg. "Linda?.... How did you know her...? He stammered. She laughed loudly. "Korg I have eyes and ears please don't start with that bullshit" she said still laughing. The sound of the firefighters and police grew louder. It was raining. Heavily. Korg shut the window next to him tightly using it to buy time as he tried to understand what was going on. "Listen to me, you have to tell me everything you know about this Linda you're talking about," Korg spoke nervously. She chuckled. "You should be the one doing all the talking Korg, I thought you had a thing with this girl." She added. His heart skipped. "What do you mean?" He asked as he leaned closely to her. She spat and gave him a stare of frustration. "Hold on," She said as she went through her photo gallery on her phone, scrolled for what seemed like eternity till she got to a particular picture and stopped. "Look Korg, is this not you and your estranged lover?" She asked as she pulled the picture closer for him to see again. He grabbed it from her violently. It was a beautiful picture of him and Linda, the first day they met he tried to remember, then he swiped through the left and saw another picture, then another, and then another. Furious. "How did you get these?" He asked nervously, but trying to show anger. "Chill down man." She laughed. "I took that picture a long time ago, suddenly bumped into you two all happy and chatting," She giggled, "took a shot just in case." The television was still on and loud but Korg wasn't sure he understood what was said there. How could she be aware of this affair? How many others might have seen them he wondered. "You shouldn't have done that." He heaved out. She mimics him. "Figured I'd be dying soon tho," giggle "She's your friend, just let her know what's happening in the estate. Sure she's a witch she could help. I haven't seen you two in a while tho." An idea quickly came to his mind. "Yeah, we broke up." He paused to rephrase what he had already said earlier, "We thought we should part ways rather than ruin things for each other since she's not a wolf." He bowed his head a little. She pouted in pity. "I haven't spoken to her in a while. She's very manipulative for me, we had an issue and I don't know where she is or if she would even want to see me again." He concluded. She sighed, placing her palm on her face in disappointment. "Korg you are not serious I must say. I don't care what the problem was but you need to do something about this." "She's an orphan I don't know anyone related to her." He defended. This was true, but Korg was using it as a way to back himself up. He has no plan to open up to her about anything. She only knows they had an affair, maybe a one-night stand but she's not aware Linda even got pregnant or was killed along with her newborn by her brother. Korg! Someone who has an idea about this kind of information will not be entirely calm about it, her body movement showed she had only had a glimpse of this story and that was by sheer chance. Calculative as Korg can be, he's definitely not opening up to admitting murder no matter how much his sister pressed on him tonight. Besides she'll die in a few weeks the doctors have confirmed, better to just let her go on her own. She hissed. "An Alpha needs a Luna, you don't have a mate Korg, I was so surprised how you would have picked a witch over these pretty wolves." "You know I wouldn't sister." He let out a big laugh to cover his anxiety. He has been through a lot already tonight. "So do you have any mate in mind?" She asked. He exhaled. "No. would have made a random pick." She scoffed. "Wolves to mate should be the least of your problems Korg. Tomorrow I'm sure the Werewolves Elders Council will summon you. They'll demand answers. I want you to think of something, this crown shouldn't leave the lineage remember?" He nodded. Thunder and lightning struck and the rain fell more heavily. "It is only a witch with great force that can remove whatever was placed on the full moon brother. First in my bloodline to see a blood moon" She whispered in anguish. "I don't do necromancy," "Then watch your people throw you out. Where is your wolf?" She stood up angrily. "Gone? I ask you." She yelled. "Gone? Like the others! Feral!" "Stop yelling." He commanded as he swallowed whatever lump formed beneath his throat, his eyes grew dim from plenty of suppressed emotions. "When you need help you let me know." She stormed out slamming the door behind her. Korg followed to make sure the door was tightly locked before turning off the television and collapsing on his bed. Deep in thought. Afraid the witch or whoever his sister would take him to might spill his secret he mustn't go to get exposed, the council of elders would definitely want to hear from him too. He needs to come up with something real quick. An evil to cover for another evil.
