The Fear that Creeps in the Imaginations of Mortal Men

The Ictha Shinu is an elite group of eccentric swordsmen that are infamous for the many atrocities committed against all of Issu. The Ictha Shinu believed in the superiority of Ictha, The Saint of War, during his time, and deemed his rule over the art of c*****e and skill as superior and second to none. Ictha, a killing machine that reigned during the earlier years of Issu, who also possessed mastery over all of Issu’s variety of weapons, was termed to have amassed an informal regency that soon became a looming threat to all of Issu. This congregation of weapon fanatics deemed Ictha as a visionary, by which his many ideals and visions of a superior, credible, and twistedly imagined, version of Issu were fought for by his followers with unceasing loyalty. Though inside the thoughts of the great Malice Bringer himself, that none of his followers caught idea of, was that his vision of this new Issu shunned all thoughts of peace and prosperity. 

In the later years of Ictha’s defeat, one of his swordsmen took on a vow to accept his power and carry on his will even beyond his time. In ceremony, Ictha cuts his neck with the disciple’s sword, pouring over the same blade the dark blood that seeps from the wound until it was completely submerged. When it came out, it took on a malicious color of red and black, reeking with an unimaginable power, and insatiable thirst for c*****e.

The sword is named Isusekaburo, (Isu-blood)- (seka-to use)- (buro-sword name). Often aliased by Ioru as Kunuki (talking sword),

Its power is said to take the life-force of those the blade kills and bequeaths them to the bearer. The same bearer is said to be over a thousand years old and is the head and leader of the Nine Swords of the Ictha Shinu.
