Julie, Emma, and Ansley had been planning their girls' day for weeks. They decided to spend the day at the local spa, enjoying massages, facials, and a much-needed break from their busy lives. The sun was shining, and the air was filled with the scent of blooming flowers as they arrived at the spa, ready to unwind and catch up.
As they settled into the serene environment, they chatted about everything from work to their favorite Harry Styles songs. Ansley couldn't help but mention how excited she was for Harry's upcoming fourth album, and they all laughed, sharing their favorite tracks and music videos.
After a few hours of pampering, they decided to grab lunch at the cozy diner nearby. They found a table outside, enjoying the gentle breeze and the sound of birds chirping. As they sipped their iced teas and nibbled on sandwiches, Emma suddenly grew quiet, her face paling as she stared into the distance.
"Emma, are you okay?" Julie asked, concerned.
Emma shook her head, trying to shake off the feeling that had just washed over her. "I don't know. I just... I have this terrible feeling. Like something bad is happening."
Ansley and Julie exchanged worried glances. They had known Emma for years, and she had always been the level-headed one. Seeing her so shaken was unsettling.
"What do you mean?" Ansley asked gently.
Emma took a deep breath, trying to articulate the strange sensation she was experiencing. "I don't know how to explain it, but ever since I was a kid, I've had these... feelings. I can sense when something bad is going to happen. And right now, I feel like my dad is in trouble."
Julie and Ansley listened intently, their concern growing. "Do you want to call him?" Julie suggested.
Emma nodded, pulling out her phone with trembling hands. She dialed her dad's number, but there was no answer. Panic started to set in as she tried again and again, each time with the same result.
"I need to go home," Emma said urgently. "Something's not right."
Without hesitation, Julie and Ansley offered to go with her. They quickly paid their bill and hurried to Emma's car. The drive to Emma's house was tense, with Emma gripping the steering wheel tightly and her friends trying to reassure her.
As they pulled up to Emma's house, their worst fears were confirmed. The front door was hanging off its hinges, and the yard was littered with debris. It looked like a pack of wild animals had torn through the place. Emma's heart raced as she jumped out of the car, calling for her dad.
"Dad! Dad, where are you?" she shouted, her voice echoing through the empty house.
Julie and Ansley followed close behind, their eyes wide with shock. The living room was in shambles, furniture overturned and claw marks gouged into the walls. It was clear that something terrible had happened.
"Emma, what do we do?" Ansley asked, her voice trembling.
Emma took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. "We need to find him. He could be hurt, or worse."
As they searched the house, Emma's senses were on high alert. She could feel a strange energy in the air, something dark and menacing. It was then that she realized the full extent of her abilities. She wasn't just sensing danger—she was sensing the presence of something supernatural.
"Guys, I think... I think it was wolves," Emma said, her voice barely above a whisper.
Julie and Ansley looked at her in disbelief. "Wolves? Are you sure?" Julie asked.
Emma nodded, her eyes scanning the room for any clues. "I know it sounds crazy, but I can feel it. And I think they were after my dad."
As they continued their search, they found a trail of blood leading to the basement. Emma's heart pounded in her chest as she descended the stairs, her friends close behind. When they reached the bottom, they found Emma's dad, injured but alive.
"Dad!" Emma cried, rushing to his side.
He looked up at her, his face pale and covered in scratches. "Emma, you have to get out of here. It's not safe."
"We're not leaving you," Emma said firmly. "What happened?"
Her dad took a deep breath, wincing in pain. "It was a pack of wolves. But they weren't normal. They were... different. I've been trying to protect you from this, but I can't anymore. You need to know the truth."
Emma's mind raced as she tried to process what her dad was saying. "What truth?"
He looked at her with a mixture of fear and sadness. "You're a witch, Emma. And those wolves were sent to find you."
Emma's world turned upside down as she tried to comprehend the revelation. She had always known she was different, but this was beyond anything she could have imagined.
