The lighthouse on the Reef of Freedom is a bit small than one’s common idea of a lighthouse, but it suits Perla quite well to perform her task as its guardian. In truth, she is very hard-working. Perla is quite fortunate that, in the performance of her duties on the Reef, she has never been in any real kind of danger, such as from the pirates who every now and then dock their small ships here, presumably to take cover or elude capture from pursuing authorities.
