Episode three

Robert was thrown against his delivery bike, he landed with a massive thud, grazing his elbows. Blood spots came up from his elbow, he wiped at it with a piece of his clothes. Most of the people that walked past pointed at him laughing, they were making fun of him. His phone rang, it was not a familiar number, but he picked. “Hello Robert, it's been a while.” The voice greeted. It was too familiar to not recognize, it was uncle Phillip, Robert's uncle, and the one that brought up his casting out of the family. “What do you want?.” Robert asked rudely, as far as he was concerned, they were no longer related. “Now that's not a way to speak to your uncle, I went through great lengths to get your number,” “What do you want uncle Phillip?” Robert repeated the question. “Our clan needs your help Robert,” uncle Phillip pleaded. There was a smug smile on Robert's face, they definitely heard about his oil wells. The one thing they mocked him for. “Why should I help you, you kicked me out without sympathy, for spending my own money.” “We are sorry, and we are willing to do anything to be in your good graces again.” “I don't have that kind of money you need, besides, what could make Zenco enterprise be in need of my help.” “Your cousin, Carlton, we made him president, but he got into some shady deals, if you don't help us, the Jackson family name would be dragged in the mud.” “How much are we looking?” Robert asked. Uncle Phillip was skeptical, he didn't want to mention the amount at first “A hundred and fifty million.” “That's a little amount to be so worked up for, if help on one condition.” “Name it, anything you want.” Was uncle Phillips hasy reply.” “I want to be the president of Zenco.” Robert demanded with full authority. “Consider it done, I'll make the arrangements for your arrival, when you come, the office will be ready for you.” “Great,” Robert ended the call, tired of the conversation already. He picked up his delivery bike, it gave an awkward sound, he abandoned it, went to get another, which he drove straight to the pizza place. Sandra Murillo was waiting for him, both hands on her waist, foot tapping aggressively on the floor. “Incompetent, and useless at the same time, all you do is eat food from my daughter, and cause her nothing but embarrassment.” Sandra Murillo shouted as Robert walked in. “Something came up, I am sorry,” Robert apologized. Sandra Murillo's eyes went to the new delivery bike. “I am sure you stole it, I have had enough of you, and your attitude, you are fired.” “You can't fire me, Roxanne owns the place.” “Well, I am the manager, and I have the right to fire whoever I please. So, you have to leave this place, return to the house, pack your things and leave as well.” Robert was conscious of the people looking at him, so he tried to control himself. “I won't leave the house until Roxanne relks me to leave herself. I love your daughter with all my heart, I won't do anything to make her feel bad.” Sandra Murillo sneered, “Just get out.” She barked. Robert returned to the house to wait on Roxanne, he remembered that he had a school reunion to added later that evening. He chose to go there and chill before Roxanne would be back from work. Back at Roxanne's office, she had on a worried expression all day, Maxime has left her in the middle of their discussion, claiming he had an urgent matter to handle. So he had to leave. If it wasn't for the whole drama with Robert, they would have signed the deal since. The whole thing was exhausting. She decided to just call it a day ,and return home, some of her workers were gathered talking and laughing. Roxanne got closer to know what made them to be in a spot. “Did you see Mrs Murillo's husband out there? So funny and dirty. The nerve of him to touch Mr Maxime.” One said, disgusted. “I wonder how Mrs Murillo got married to him in the first place, he is so below her level.” Another interjected. “I can't even have him as a maid in my house, talk more of a driver.” Roxanne coughed loudly to alert them of her presence, their nasty talks about her married life was beginning to make her cringe. “Don't you have work to do, and homes to return to?.” They saw the seriousness in her raised eyebrow, and stern voice. They all dispersed at once. Before she could reach the main entrance of her company, she received a message that took her breath away. She received the sum of fifty million, the sender was unknown to her. Roxanne let out a scream of joy, covering her mouth with a hand as she drew stares to herself. Her workers were probably wondering what the heck had gotten into her for screaming like that. Roxanne peeped into her phone, the amount was actually right there, she could not contain the excitement much longer as she went straight for a seat before she would lose her balance. Could it be that Maxime wanted to help her out instead of buying it instead?. Maxime had always shown interest in Roxanne, but she was already married, and too principled to just ditch Robert for Maxime, who had always been her mother's choice for a husband. The only reason she got close to Maxime was because he was the only one that offered the highest bid for her company. She tried calling him to show her thanks for the generous help, his phone was not connecting. “Well,” she stood up. “At least my company is safe, I don't have to sell anymore.” She squealed.
