"You what?" Nathalie asked, her head tilted on the side and there's amusement in her face.

"I know that she killed Lev, I think so. That's why I asked you to keep an eye on her." Chloe said.

"You think so? Chloe, she's a Devil!"

"She's not! My aunt Yohan isn't a devil!" Molly shouted and she ran to Yohan, throwing herself and hugged Yohan tightly while crying. "Let's go to the hospital."

"I'm fine, Molly." Yohan cooed at the kid.

"Yes she'll be fine because a devil is immortal." Nathalie scoffed and she turned to Chloe, who's eyes were still at Yohan. "Don't stand there, do something!"

"She's not a devil, Nathalie." Chloe said and she padded to Yohan, she then held the dagger and without having a second thought, she pulled it out. "I'm sorry, Nathalie." Chloe said with a certain sadness in her voice and she turned to Agma and curt a nod.

Even if Agma was confused, she still took Molly away from Yohan and they both ran away. Then Chloe turned to Nathalie and walked slowly, still holding the dagger.

"Chloe no!" Yohan yelled to stop the woman but she's too late as Chloe stabbed Nathalie in her chest.

"She's not a Devil." Chloe whispered as she let Nathalie's body fall on the ground with heavy thud, eyes wide open and looking at Chloe in disbelief.

"W-why?" Nathalie asked.

"I'm sorry." Chloe said as she started to cry after she realized what she had done to her friend.

Yohan immediately approached Nathalie and lifted her up from the ground. "Why did you do that?!" She growled at Chloe.

"I don't know!" Chloe yelled frustratingly while taking steps backwards. "She.. She needs to die!"

"No! You aren't supposed to kill anyone or make a sin! You're ruining your pure soul!" Yohan yelled back while trying to stop the bleeding. "Jess, help me!"

"N-no." Nathalie refused while shaking her head slowly.

"You have to stay alive, Nath! Please."

"Just t-take my soul and let me be with my s-sister."

"No, please. I'm not gonna allow it—." Yohan stopped speaking when Nathalie grabbed her collar and pulled her down, closer to her face.

"Let m-me go. If you really w-want to make up for what you did to my sister, then l-let me be with her." Nathalie said, her eyes were begging and Yohan stared at them. She could see that Nathalie wanted to be with her sister so badly.

Yohan heaved a deep breath then exhaled. She smiled sadly and nodded her head reluctantly before she stood up with Nathalie in her arms. She walked to the Gazebo and put her down gently, she made sure that Nathalie was in a comfortable position before she clenched her eyes hard.

Nathalie turned to where Chloe stood up while crying her heart's out. "Thank you." Nathalie said, she could barely open her eyes so Yohan needed to make an action or else, Chloe would be the one who killed her and her pure soul would be out of Yohan's list of pure souls.

Yohan leaned her face down to Nathalie as she held her face and forced the woman to open her mouth. She then started to suck Nathalie's soul inside her mouth with tears in Yohan's eyes.

Nathalie may be her enemy but she has been Yohan's considered friend and she understands the resentment she's receiving from the woman. The pain she caused her, the longing, the everyday suffering after losing her sister.

The only person she has after their parents died in an accident. Nathalie only has her sister and Yohan deprived her of living peacefully. If she didn't meet Nicole one rainy night in the middle of busy New York. The night where Yohan lends her umbrella to Nicole while she's wandering around to find pure souls to eat and there everything starts.

Yohan decided to get close with Nicole but eventually fell in love, which she thought was normal, because she was too young at that time. Innocent, naive and not really that bad the way she is now. She thought that falling in love with humans will not put her in trouble.

But no, that love was the reason she lost her first true love. And Nathalie lost her sister.

Nathalie's body was like a dried prune, bloodless and lifeless after Yohan took her soul. Then she put her down again and snapped her fingers. And with that, Nathalie's body sets on fire.

"Now tell me, why do you have to do that?" Yohan asked without looking at Chloe.

"I'm just protecting you."

"Protecting me?" Yohan scoffed as she turned around. Her eyes pierced the brunette and they were filled with rage. "From what?!"

Chloe stared at Yohan, she was hurt for what she could see to Yohan's eyes but she couldn't blame her. All she wants is to help him to hide her true identity but it seems that Yohan doesn't want any help, especially from her.

On the other hand, she could take all the blame because first, she asked for Nathalie's help to find the killer. She believes that it was Yohan and her accused never waved.

But she comes to the point that she falls in love with Yohan eventually. And even if she already knew about Yohan, she ignored all of that and continued her feelings, until that one unexpected night happened where she heard Yohan while talking with Jess and Agma.

From then on, she decided to forget her feelings but as the day passed by, seeing Yohan every day, the love she felt for her grew even more stronger that she came to the point that she killed her friend just to protect Yohan to reveal her true identity.

"I.." Chloe swallowed hard, as if there's a sudden imaginary lump in her throat that blocked her air pipe and she couldn't breathe and couldn't talk.

"I don't need your protection! You're just a mere human and all I wanted from you is your soul! Nothing else!" Yohan shouted at her.

Chloe's heart made a loud thump inside her chest and it was so painful that she needed to suck for air but she couldn't exhale. Then she bit her lower lip to stop herself from crying and forced her lips to form a smile, a painful smile that made Yohan realise what she had said to Chloe.

She wanted to hold Chloe's hand and say how sorry she was, but her pride stopped her. She just stood in her spot and watched Chloe walking away while her shoulder shaking uncontrollably.

"Dude, you just revealed yourself to her." Agma said as she squeezed Yohan's shoulder.

"She already knows beforehand." Yohan replied, still staring at the spot where Chloe took a left turn and vanished from her sight.

"So what's next?"

"I have to end all of this, I need to take her soul and go back to hell." Yohan said and she turned her heels. "Stay here, I have to go somewhere."

"Wait, don't you want company?"

"No, I want to be alone." Yohan said and in just a blink of an eye, she vanished into thin air, leaving Agma alone and worried about Yohan.

They were aware how much Yohan likes Chloe, and it was shocking for her to hear Yohan said those words to Chloe. And with that thought, she decided to find Jess to ask about Nathalie's sister and what does that girl have to do with Yohan's emotions and why is she trying to save Nathalie even if the latter had done the worst thing to her.

Yohan deliberately headed to a place where she used to go every time she needed some time alone. That place isn't just a simple place where she can freely watch the city lights and admire it on her spot. It was the same place where she had to take Nicole's soul, the last place they've gone to before she ended the life of her true love.

"Please, do what you have to do and don't think about anyone else because the only thing that matters is your happiness and your role in your life."

Those are the words that kept ringing inside Yohan's head in the past few years. The words that Nicole said before she voluntarily gave her soul to Yohan.

"How can I do that if it'll hurt me?" Yohan asked while staring into the beautiful and dazzling city light. "I've done it before and it never made me happy. I tried to fight my feelings for her, my love. But I failed." She said to no one and let her tears fall down to her face, making her vision blur and didn't notice the guy sitting next to her. His palms pressed against the grass, his legs spread out and he's looking where Yohan was staring at and there's another two men standing behind them.

"I've been there." The guy said with a chuckle. "And I have to choose what's right to do."

"What else should I expect from you? You are bound to follow all the rules you've written." Yohan scoffed, still not sparing any glance at the guy next to her.

"Because I had to." He chafed. "You know, love is just a word and not really existing."

"How can you say that where all you have in you is wrath?"

"I can say that because of you." He said and tapped Yohan's shoulder one time. "Don't you ever wonder why you exist?"

"Because you created me." Yohan said.

"Because I thought that there is love." Satan said, and this time, it caught Yohan's full attention and she turned to look at her father. "I told you, I've been there. I met this woman before and she was so perfect."

"My mom?" Yohan asked and Satan nodded his head. "Where is she?"

"I killed her."

"You what?!"

"I had to because she deceived me."

"And you're telling me all of this because of what?" Yohan asked, she felt a sudden anger rise inside her but she's too emotional to deal with it as of the moment.

"Because you'll be like me whether you like it or not." Satan said and he turned his head to look at Yohan's eyes. "You have to kill the woman you love before she could deceive you using the love that never existed." He said.
