Or a ghost

"Where have you been?" Charlene asked while helping Ivy to get off of the car, who's still limping and wincing in pain since she hurt her leg and her ankle got a bit dislocated after the debris of the wall fell on her.

"Long story." Chloe said as she also helped their friend to take her inside the hospital. "Molly, come on sweetie."

"Mom, what happened inside?" Molly asked while gripping the necklace tightly.

"Inside of what?" Charlene asked.

"Can we do the questioning later? Ivy needs attention first." Chloe said a bit snarky.

"I think I'll just stay here." Molly said, her eyes looking everywhere but Ivy and she's still gripping the necklace that even if she could feel the burning sensation against her palm, she's still holding onto it like her life depends on it. Chloe's forehead furrowed and was about to ask her daughter but she was interrupted when a gurney along with the nurses approached them.

They put Ivy on the gurney and bring her to the emergency room even if there's not much of an emergency in her case.

"Can you stay here with Ivy? I'll just get my daughter." Chloe said to Charlene who nodded her head. Though she has a lot of questions but since Chloe won't answer, then she'll just wait for Ivy to wake up and will ask her later.

Chloe ran back to her car and she saw Molly standing outside the car, leaning her back on the hood while staring at ger feet.

"Molly." Chloe called her attention as she approached the kid. "What's wrong?"

Molly brought up her head to look up to her mom. Chloe gasped silently when she saw the fear in the kid's eyes. "Aunt Ivy is not a human."

"What?"

"She's not a human." Molly repeated and her tears started streaming which made Chloe panicked. "And that one too." Molly pointed at the man standing outside the emergency entrance. He's wearing all black clothes from his fedora hat, long black coat, black pants and black shoes. And he was staring at Molly like he couldn't believe that someone could see him.

"Where?" Chloe asked confusedly.

"That one too, mom." Molly said and pointed to another spot but Chloe couldn't see what her daughter was referring to. All she could see was a couple sitting on a bench outside the hospital. "Oh my god, there are a lot of demons around!" Molly screamed in fear as she suddenly buried her face onto Chloe's torso. "Mom, there are a lot of demons!"

"Honey no, there's no demons." Chloe said to calm her daughter but Molly wouldn't let go and pressed her face further in to hide. Chloe removed her arms from her waist and she bend over to level the kid as she held her shoulders. "Molly look at me."

"No! I don't want to open my eyes!" Molly cried. People around them are looking in their direction, thinking that they were having a moment if someone had died in the emergency room.

"Let's just go inside the car." Chloe said and she tugged Molly with her. She waited for the kid to calm down while she's driving around and to bring out the kid far from the demons she could see but for Chloe's eyes, they were just normal people.

She decided to pull the car in a park where there were no kids or anyone at the field. It's noon and weekdays, so people may be having lunch or the kids are in their schools.

"You can open your eyes now, no one's here." Chloe said and gently stroked Molly's face.

"Are you sure?" Molly asked.

"Yeah." Chloe replied and her gaze shifted at the kid's hand that was still gripping the necklace tightly. "Oh gosh. You weren't supposed to hold it, Molly." She said and removed the kid's hand from the necklace.

When she was young, she used to hold the necklace and she would suddenly cry because she could see scary people around. Her Dad told her to never hold the necklace with her hand. After that incident, she never dared to hold the necklace, but she accidentally did one time when Agma was around her and it heated up. That's when she found out that Agma wasn't a normal human and she learned why she wasn't allowed to hold the necklace with her palm.

"It kept heating up since I wore it." Molly said.

"Listen to me sweetheart. If it's hot, just try to lift it up away from your skin, sooner or later, you'll get used to it. But for now, never hold it again. Okay?"

"Is that the reason why I can see them?"

"Yes, that necklace will keep you safe from bad spirits and demons—." Chloe paused when she remembered something from what she heard from Molly. "Wait, did you say that Ivy isn't a human?"

"She's a demon." Molly said.

"Oh god, no." Chloe gasped. She has been friends with Ivy since elementary days and never knew that Ivy is one of Agma's kind.

"You don't know?"

"No." Chloe shook her head. Then she realized, if Ivy is a normal human, she wouldn't have survived what Agma did to her. She was staring at the kid when her phone suddenly rang and both of them jumped a little on their seats. "Hello?"

"b***h, Ivy said that Yohan is back!" Charlene said from the other line.

"And? Why are you telling me that?" Chloe asked sarcastically. "Is she okay now? If yes, then drive her home."

"Wait, where are you?"

"We're on our way home."

"Great, now I have to babysit this b***h!" Charlene growled.

"Sorry, I had to bring Molly home. She's tired." Chloe said before ending the call.

"Mom?" Molly called when Chloe continued driving again.

"Hmm?"

"Are you going to avoid Aunt Ivy?" The kid asked.

Chloe paused for a moment, but continued anyway and shook her head. "No, she's my friend."

"Even if she's not a human?"

"She hasn't anything against me, so yeah. She's still my friend."

"She couldn't do anything to you because you always wear your necklace." Molly said and Chloe admitted that the kid was right. Or maybe Ivy isn't really a bad demon like Agma. She never even doubted her friend that she's a demon because she never did anything against Chloe. In fact, Ivy is like her older sister who is always watching her back.

The day when she caught Harvey cheating on her, she was the first to back her up to beat the girl while Charlene tried to stop them. She was there the whole time until Chloe decided to leave, she supported her decision and always been supportive till now.

So there's no reason to unfriend Ivy just because she's a demon. She fell in love with a devil, so being friends with a demon wasn't new anymore.

As the two arrived at their house, there's a car waiting in the driveway. When the person in the car saw Chloe's car, he climbed out and greeted his fiancé.

"Babe, I got a call from Charlene." He said worriedly. "What happened?"

"I brought Ivy to the hospital, she accidentally fell off the stairs." She lied.

"Is she okay now?"

"Yeah, she's fine."

Molly hopped out from the car and she held her necklace while looking up to Harvey, which Chloe noticed but decided to ignore her. When Molly made sure that Harvey is a normal human, she continued her way inside the house, carrying the box containing the pictures of her father.

"I was so worried, I thought something happened to you." Harvey sighed in relief and he pulled Chloe closer to him and hugged her. "Where have you been anyway?" He asked after he pulled away.

"Just took some stuff from my old house."

"I thought you already sold that house?"

"My other house." Chloe said and she wrapped her arms around Harvey's waist as they both walked towards the main door.

"Don't you have plans to sell that house?"

"I will, I'll talk to my agent tomorrow." Chloe said. "Can I ask you a question?" She said when the two of them sat down on the sofa. Harvey nodded his head so Chloe proceeded to her question. "Don't you want to move our wedding day?"

Harvey looked down to her with furrowed eyebrows then he sat straight. "What do you mean?"

"I was just thinking that one months is still long, and since everything is already planned. the church, the reception, the cakes and our honeymoon place. Why don't we move it and let's get married next week?"

"Whoa." Harvey chuckled and looked at Chloe with an amused face. "Why are you suddenly in a rush?"

"Nothing, I was just thinking and I can't wait to be your wife." Chloe said, she stretched her lips but she knew that her smile was fake.

"Oh Chloe, you didn't know how much you made me happy." Harvey said as he cupped Chloe's face and was about to kiss her but he was interrupted when a vase on the corner suddenly fell off and it shattered in pieces. The couple snapped their heads at the vase in shock. But they were expecting to see Molly in there but no one was standing near the vase.

"Molly?" Chloe called.

"What?" Molly responded from the second floor.

"Oh nothing." Chloe said and she stood up. She walked towards the shattered vase and started picking up the pieces. "It might be the wind." She said to convince herself.

"Or a ghost." Harvey jokes. Chloe chuckled but nervously. She didn't want to assume but she already had a hunch who did it. After all, she already came back and she's the only person she knows who can control things aside from Jess.

And her hunched was right when she noticed a figure of a woman standing outside the glass window, glaring at her venomously.

She's really back.
