Vittoria's POV
"I have something to tell you," I told him after a while.
As much as I didn't want to break the mood between us, I really think that he should know everything about what I had seen last night.
"Can't it wait?" he gently asked. I needed to take a deep breath to clear my chest.
"Can't we pretend that we were just like a normal couple out there for now?" he asked, his tone almost pleading.
I slowly nodded my head, gulping down the lump in my throat.
"I'd like that, too..." I smiled.
Perhaps it wouldn't hurt to be selfish, even just for today. We can worry about everything that we need to face after this.
