Liora looked frightened by his tone and immediately buried her face against me harder.

Leone dragged a hand down his face roughly before crouching slightly beside us.
“Sorry,” he muttered. “Liora, I just need you to think, okay?”
“She had red hair,” Liora whispered softly. “And she smelled like flowers.”
