CHAPTER 27 Nyxa~ The meeting with the board for the Noctra project had barely started when the door opened again and one of the assistants walked in with a sealed envelope. No one paid much attention at first. We were already in the middle of reviewing projections, and half of them were more focused on their screens than anything else. “Ms. Nyxa,” she said, placing it in front of me. I frowned slightly. “What is it?” “It was delivered a few minutes ago and marked as urgent.” That got a bit more attention. I glanced around briefly before picking it up. It didn’t look like anything serious. Plain envelope, no logo, just my name written across the front in neat handwriting. I opened it without saying anything else.
