Rider was shocked. Not because it was was Hunter herself, but because she had only kidnapped the woman, and not simply murdered her as she had done so many times before. Bolting to his feet, he rescanned the place. "Where is she?" Hunter giggled. The sound vaguely caused Rider's heart to lighten, but he ignored the feeling. "You think it's that easy, Rider? You know me better than that." He grimaced. Maybe he had been wrong. "You killed her, didn't you?" She shrugged. "Actually, no. Normally, I would've." He waited for her to explain, but she didn't, moving towards what he suspected was the kitchen. He trailed behind her. "So why didn't you?" This was highly unusual for her.
