“You’ll have to reschedule.” Any semblance of trying to be nice was gone now as Dara regarded Isabelle as if she were an insect that needed to be stepped on quickly.
“I can’t do that.” There was no way she was going to try to reschedule her meeting with Paul.
“Why don’t we send notes home on Monday and let the kids know rehearsals will begin on Wednesday,” Kyla suggested. “That way, we can also ask who might want a speaking part so we can determine how many lines we need.”
“That’s a great idea,” Zoey nodded. “I can write something up and send it to you to approve, Dara, if you’d like.”
“But if we start rehearsals on Wednesday, that will only give us two weeks and one day worth of practice.”
