Embarrassed and flustered, I quickly pulled away. "No way!" Samuel seemed to know when to stop, sensing that he had pushed things far enough. "What do you like to eat?" he asked casually. It was a topic we had touched on before during one of our random conversations. He had boasted about his cooking skills, claiming he was a master in the kitchen. I had jokingly suggested he put his talents to the test next time. To my surprise, Samuel took me seriously and invited me along for grocery shopping.
