Liam stood frozen in the police station as Ava's words rang in his ears. “What?” His voice trembled as he turned to face Ava, who stood a few feet away, her gaze fixed on the ground.
“Yes, you heard me,” Ava replied, her voice steady as she raised her eyes to look at him. His heart clenched at the coldness in those orbs. “We’re soon going to be an ex-couple. I’m getting a divorce, Liam. I can’t continue like this.”
