They pushed through the brothel doors,the place was filled with the usual lusty crowd. At the base of the staircase, Drake paused. But when Sierra tugged on his hand, he made his way up the stairs behind her.?

"How long will you stay?" Sierra twirled a tendril of her hair.

"All night," she said.
"Surely, you don't think those men would come for you here? Not with Adrienne's men posted everywhere. Besides, I plan to find those two that meant to harm you tomorrow and settle it with the town sheriff," Drake promised.
"You won't find them. I'm betting they'll be long gone by morning," Sierra said thoughtfully. "I'm sorry for the way that I treated you earlier today."?
