Drake pivoted to find Kyle leaning stiffly against the wall outside the brothel. He ignored the comment, setting foot on the dirt road. It was still quiet on the streets at this early hour, and he didn't want any trouble.
"Don't you think you should know why?" Kyle asked, strolling behind Drake.
Drake halted and turned, coming face-to-face with him. "You got a problem? You can't bear to see your sister with the likes of me?" Drake's body tensed.
"That's right,I can't stand to see her with a man like you, with your silk neckties, and big talk of railroads."
Kyle would be damned if he backed down from this outsider, no matter how intimidating a figure he posed. "I don't want to see anyone get hurt. Don't say that I didn't warn you."
