“Ugh…Why do I always fall for the thick-headed ones?” Anna woke to the warm caress of sunlight on her skin and the knowledge that she was perfectly, completely safe. It was a feeling she hadn"t experienced in a long time. Not since that night, five years ago, when she and Jack had shared a bed for the first time. Her cheek was mashed against the pillow, her eyes shut tight as strands of hair fell over her face. Bit by bit, consciousness seeped into her mind until she just couldn"t stay still any more.
