With a mug of coffee in hand, steam wafting upward with a delicious scent, Vix Taldien stepped into the cockpit of his small cargo hauler. It was a simple room with two seats facing a shared control console in front of a concave bulkhead. One of those seats was occupied by Trieli. She swiveled to face him, and he had to pause for a moment to admire her beauty. Tall for a woman and slender, she had a round face of dark skin. Her deep brown hair was tied in a thick braid that coiled around her neck. “And…you forgot me again,” she said, eyeing the cup in his hand. Vix blushed.
