NATHAN’S POV After the last of our Tuesday morning classes, (which is also by the way, just the morning before the mid-afternoon parade comes in to welcome the other two schools that will be joining us) me, Alastair, and Jackson were out by a small pond in the outskirts of the huge playing field lodging under the shade of one of the beech trees. Jackson was, as usual, flirting with girls while Alastair and I threw stones at the small pond, apparently disrupting the flow of concentration among those who were aiming to shoot their coins on the slot just below the statue. That statue was believed to grant the school’s students their wishes and whoever gets their coin inside the small hole on the statue’s base, they would no doubt get what they asked for.
