The next few days were spent clearing their schedules. Garciela had suggested flying to Pennsylvania to see Nyxie’s father, and when the blonde wholeheartedly agreed, the two set out to book the flight. It had come as a surprise to her that Gracie selected two-way tickets for two people, and right before confirming the purchase, the blonde grabbed her girlfriend’s hand.
“Are you sure?” she whispered.
“If you are.”
After a long moment of silence, their hands laced together and Nyxie finally nodded. She was well aware she would have to either tell her parents a big lie or take a risk and finally come clear to them. Gracie seemed to have thought of it already and squeezed the girl’s delicate fingers.
“Baby, I’ll be with you whatever you decide to do. I’ll do and say anything.”
