Aurel The pain from my wound couldn’t compare to the embarrassment I was feeling. My entire family had witnessed what just happened. Being carried by a man, all the way to my room, no less. He had completely overreacted. Even though he had already stepped away from me, the scent of his cologne still lingered strongly, making me feel even more unsettled. “I can do it myself.” That man approached, carrying a first aid kit he’d gotten from a servant who had just come in.
