Despite my initial reluctance, I accompanied Ryland to the main hall for dinner. My first official pack dinner since everything went down. I knew the whole pack knew what had happened with Beta Brandon McCall of the Black Moon Pack and my family.
Honestly, I was not ready to face the looks, the pity or the shame.
Ryland made a show of taking me down by holding my hand and proudly walking with me into the dining hall. "You don't have to hold my hand." I whispered to him.
He gripped it harder. "Why not? If you try to remove your hand, I will pick you up and carry you, Little Mate."
I just giggled and leaned on his forearm. "Okay!"
In the dining hall, I saw Luna Rachel and my new mother-in-law, Gamma Dora, sitting at the table along with my girlfriend, Dana.
