Chapter 12

OLIVIA'S POV:

Two weeks.

It's been two weeks since I've been staying Lucian's pack and in his house. He's been nothing but nice to me, even if we barely talked.

After what he said, “before I forget you're scared or me", He had been avoiding me. He just asked if I wanted to eat and basic things. I mean, granted, we don't really have conversations but it was different now. And I hate to admit it, but I didn't like it.

It's been two weeks since the rogue attacked. What he said replayed in my head everyday. My nightmares were back.

“He'll find her"

Deep down, I knew who. James. He was looking for me. I knew sooner or later, he'd start looking for me, his ego wouldn't let me escape.

I wondered if he sent that rogue to look for me, the rogue found me. How? Was he able to figure my scent out? I was so scared.

Lucian.

If James was looking for me, then Lucian and his pack weren't safe, I knew what James was capable of. I had to protect Lucian. But how? If I left his pack, I wouldn't survive out. If I stayed here, James would find me. I knew he would.

I didn't know how I thought I'd be free from him. I would never. James was a man that got what he wanted, when he wanted. Sighing, i shook my head, I didn't want to think about him again.

Currently, I was the only one at home, Lucian left in the morning. For two weeks, I had been inside, I haven't stepped foot outside the pack. Lucian had his workers fix the house after the rogue fight. The chairs, tables and door. The house was in a better condition now.

“Yo!!!!"

I snapped out from my thoughts. Who was that? How did the person get in. My heart started beating fast. I heard footstep coming up the step. Looking around my room, there was nothing to use to defend myself. What if another of James rogue had found me?

“Olivia?" The voice called out. Valerie? I breathed out in relief.

“In here" I called.

The door to my room was unlocked, so when she just opened the door.

“Oh! Look at you! My little squishy omega" I laughed as she carried me like I weighed nothing. I did.

“Valerie!" I laughed again.

“What are you doing here?How did you get in?" I ask.

“I have a spare key darling. And I'm here to make you have fun! You've been in for weeks. You reek of the house".

My cheeks reddened in embarrassment.

“I didn't know where to go" I said, shyly.

“That's why I'm here!" She shouted. “First, we're going to style your hair, then we'd go shopping!"

I instinctively touched my hair, “Oh, no, I couldn't"

Valerie rolled her eyes like she expected it, “Sugar, look at what you're wearing"

I looked down. I was still wearing Lucian clothes, I didn't think they were bad. They were comfortable. Valerie doesn't seem to think so, as she gave me a disapproving look.

“Lucian told me to take you shopping, since he was too busy to do it himself,so, chop, chop, let's go!"

I sighed, I couldn't get out of this one.

“Okay." I agree.

“Great! Let's goo"

I finally stepped foot out in two weeks, the sun hit my face, fresh air hit my nose. Life. It smelt like life.

Valerie led me through the pack, greeting people here and there. The pack was so beautiful, there was people everywhere. All laughing, happy. They weren't looking at me weird again.

“We're here!" Valerie said, as we got to the hair dressers shop. She pushed me in.

“Hi, Kiara" She greeted the hairdresser, who looked like Valerie's age.

“Valerie!” She smiled, "Your hair pulling out again?”

"Nahh, I need a make over for this wolf.”

I peaked from her back, where I hid. Raising my hand, I gave a tiny wave.

“Aww, she's cute" She squealed, “Hi, there, I'm Kiara, what's your name?

"Olivia” I answer shyly.

"Olivia! What would you like to do today?”.

I looked up at Valerie, as if asking her.

"Eh, her hair just needs styling, the waist length is fine. Surprise me, Kiara”

"Here, have a sit” Kiara gestured to an empty sit, sitting down, she got to work.

30 minutes after, she was done, I opened my eyes, I didn't recognize who was in the mirror, She put my hair in waves, with side bangs, she made it look layered. It was so beautiful.

“There you gooo" Valerie started, “I knew you were prettier than you let on"

I blushed.

"Do you like it?” Kiara asked.

I looked at myself again, "Yes, I love it, thank you”

"Thank you, Kiara” Valerie said.

Pulling me from my seat, Valerie led me out.

"Next on our list is the shopping mall”

We took another walk, about 5 minutes. The mall was so big. Valerie held my hand, as we navigated through the mall.

" This is my favorite store” She said as we went in.

She went directly to the female section, "Pick anything you want” She said.

There was a dress beside me, I looked at the tag, $60??? My eyes widened as I looked around, the clothes were expensive!

Valerie sighed, "I'm just going to pick for you myself”

After what felt like hours, she was finally done picking for me, she picked, dresses, tops, jeans, skirts, cardigans, shoes, bags.

“Uhm, Valerie?"

“Hm,” She said, as she put another dress on my body.

"Isn't this too much?”

"Nonsense” She shouted, "it's just perfect, we just have to find you something to wear now.

I nodded. She picked a joggers and a cropped top. Pushed it in my chest and pointed at the changing stall.

After changing, I came out, pulling the top down, Valerie clapped.

“You look so pretty" She said.

“Thank you" I said looking in the mirror, she wasn't wrong.

Her phone chimed, “My friends are here, let's get you a phone first, then meet them"

I nodded and let her drag me along again, with shopping bags in our hands, I felt good.

Valerie got me the same phone as hers, an iphone 13, she promised to help me with it when we got home.

We walked through the mall again, this time we stopped at the food court, where Valerie was waving aggressively to a group of 4 people.

“Hi, guys"

There was a collective “Hi’s"

“Ouu, who's this pretty girl?" A guy asked, causing all of them to pull their eyes to me, I shifted on my foot nervously.

"Back off, Mason” Valerie said.

The guy, Mason pouted.

"Would you at least introduce us?” A girl said, she was dressed in all black, the tips of her hair red.

Valerie sighed, "Olivia this is everyone, everyone, this is Olivia"

The girl on black looked at her disapprovingly.

“Ugh! fine!" Valerie said tiredly.

She pointed at the Mason guy, “You already know mason" He winked. I looked away fast.

Then she pointed at another guy, he had curly hair, "That's Micheal” Michael tipped his cap.

The girls with red tips was next, " This is Emily, we call her Em”

Emily waved, "Hi, Olivia”

The last person, a girl, she was so beautiful, And lastly this-"

“Nu-uh, I'll introduce myself" The girl said, Valerie rolled her eyes.

“Hi, I'm Alessia, I'm the alpha's chosen mate”

What? Lucian has a mate?
