Chapter Thirty-One I was tired of thinking, tired of dealing with the fallout from a case I was no longer hired to handle. It wore me out just sitting before my computer. With my eyes closed, my thoughts drifted. I just had to relax. One thing I’d learned since returning home from the war was about the need to tune one’s mind out every now and then. Taking a meditation class had helped. Unfortunately, I didn’t apply the knowledge as much as I should have. But now and then, I’d try. This seemed to be a good time to do so.
