"Woww...what did you say you were studying again? Cause I didn't understand a single thing you just said right now" he said smiling

"I stopped schooling as soon as I was done in High school" I said with so much sadness. because one thing I've always loved was schooling but I guess that ain't for me at least not after what happened with my parents.

"Oh I didn't really mean to say that actually..." He tried to explained himself

"It's fine, I understand," I said , wearing a smile so he wouldn't think much about it.

"Okay, let's go start this car and see what you did whether it's gonna work or not"

"It's so going to work, I trust what I did" I said smiling

"Well, we are about to find that out now," Elliot said. As he opened the door of his white SUV, with a little touch of black just not to make it purely white I guess because I don't see the need for them to add the black color. He pressed the start button and guess what? It worked

"Well, looks like someone did a great job here." He said laughing

"Told ya! I trust my work sir and i am so proud of myself too" I said grinning

"And I think I'm a little impressed too..but don't think to far I can do a better job than you did I just don't like boasting about my capacity and capabilities" he said giving a weird funny look

"Oh really, then why didn't you fix it yourself if you knew you could fix it, or check it out before you left your office or wherever you're coming from instead of seeking for my help"

"I just don't like stressing myself okay?" He said trying to prove his point

"Oh please just shut up, you probably don't even know how to open the bonnet" I said in a funny tone

"Eiii..it's not that bad okay? I of course know how to open the bonnet but anyways Thanks for your help" he said while rolling his eyes

"I'm sorry what did you say, I don't think I heard you well, you mind repeating yourself sir" I said in a whining manner

"Thank you ma" he said laughing

"Now that's what you were supposed to say from the start"

"Yeah right" He said rolling his eyeballs again and I couldn't just help but laugh

"It's not even funny" he said but he also bursted out laughing.

"Anyways anyways, where are you headed to let me just drop you off? That's the least I could do as a means of appreciation." He asked

"You don't have to mind actually, my house is not far from here, I will just walk my way through..plus I didn't fix your car so that you would give me a lift, I did out of kindness" I replied. I wouldn't want a public figure like him to know where I live even though I really need the lift because it's late already and one thing about Hawthorne, it's not safe in the night, at least not in this particular area.

"Oh yeah, I know you did it out of kindness, but I'm insisting I'd drop you off at your doorstep and I'm sure you know it's not safe around here in the night because obviously you ply this road everyday and it's getting late already, so for your sake ma'am kindly get into the Car." He insisted.

"Ok, you win" I said while I raised my hands up in the air and he grinned.

I opened the front door of the car and as soon as I sat down I inhaled a very nice malodorous fresh scent, it's like a flowery smell that reminds you of flowers.

"Wow, this smells nice" I said out loud unknowingly

"Thanks" he said

I sat down trying to be as comfortable as I could ever be. I struggled to wear my seatbelt because the seatbelt just felt so different. I guess he saw me struggling with it and he offered to help as he finished fastening the seat belt he started the engine and started driving as he was driving the atmosphere felt so weird like really weird and dry we've been talking non-stop since like how many hours now and suddenly everything went quiet well I guess he probably felt that too so he played a song on his radio as the song was playing I was humming feeling the rhythm of the song and before I knew it I started singing

??There are people dying If you care enough for the living??

"You have a really nice voice" I heard him say

"Oh thanks" I said as I smiled

"So where should I drop you or you wanna drop by my house cause I can't just keep driving you know? And If you wanna drop by my stop to have a problem you're always welcome..." Elliot said

"Oh please.. I can't believe you're saying that to a complete stranger..lol.well in some seconds now there's going to be a sharp corner by your right, take a turn and as you enter the street you can drop me at the third house" as I was giving him the directions he was nodding his head as he quietly followed my instructions and here we are, you can drop me right here "Thank you" i said.

"You live here?" He asked curiously

"No not really, I don't get to live in this kind of house at least not anymore, my house is right behind it"

"Okay! I guess this is where we say Goodbye" Elliot said

"Yup and I'm gonna go straight into my house" I replied

"Okay....Gosh" he said with a look on his face like he just missed a flight going to Hawaii, I wondered what it was and just couldn't help but ask

"You okay? " I asked

"I am so so sorry, I can't believe i didn't know your name I mean how am i supposed to know when I didn't ask... it's so weird to ask right now after spending like 3 hours together but I'm going to do it anyways" he said

"Pardon my manners, but can you please tell me your name?" He said and I can feel the guilt in his tone

"I chuckled, you don't have to worry about it, I get that all the time. And my name, well my name is Diana, Diana Roberts" I said

"Ok Diana Roberts, Nice to meet you" he extended his hand out for an handshake

"Nice to meet you too Elliot Gonzales" And I received his handshake and we both bursted

"This is weird" he said while laughing

"Yeah I know , well I gotta hit road right now, it's late already" I said finally

"Ok then, Goodbye Diana"

"Yea, Goodbye Elliot, Thanks for the ride."

"You welcome" He said as I opted out of his car and I watched him zoom off.
