*two weeks later* *Anna* Anna was sound asleep when she heard a knock on her door. She groaned and pulled the covers over her head, hoping the person would go away. But the knocking persisted, growing louder and more insistent. Reluctantly, she rolled out of bed and made her way to the door. Her head was pounding and she just wanted to sleep. But the knocking wouldn't stop. Anna opened the door and looked up, only to see the man she'd hooked up with. He was standing before her, holding a bouquet of red roses. She was shocked and confused, and a million questions raced through her mind. How had he found her? What did he want? Why was he here? "What are you doing here?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly. "How did you find me?" He smiled, and it sent a shiver down her spine. "I have my ways," he said, his voice low and seductive. "May I come in?" he asked, though it was more of a demand than a request. Before she could respond, he stepped into the apartment and began to look around, as if he owned the place. Anna was frozen in place, unsure of what to do. Should she tell him to leave? Should she call the police? "What are you doing here?" she finally asked again, her voice shaking. "How did you find me?" He turned to face her, a smug smile on his face. "I have my ways," he said again, his tone smug and self-satisfied. Anna shut the door behind her, staring at him in confusion. "Okay, but what do you want?" she asked. He turned to face her, his eyes filled with something she couldn't quite place. "You," he said, his voice smooth and silky. "And I brought you these." He handed her the bouquet of red roses, and she took them hesitantly. "I'm not sure what to say," she stammered, still trying to make sense of the situation. "But what we had was just... a one-night stand." Without thinking, she threw the flowers into the trash can and turned to face him. "Look, I'm not interested in seeing you again," she said, her voice firm. "And I don't appreciate you showing up at my door like this. I thought we had an understanding that it was a one-time thing." He didn't seem to hear her, or if he did, he chose to ignore her words. "It's not about s*x," he said, his voice soft and seductive. "I want you. I want you to be mine. I think you're special, Anna.” He said as he moved closer. She froze, her heart racing. She could feel his breath on her lips, could feel his hand on her waist. Before she could think about what to do, he leaned in and kissed her. It was as if time stood still. She couldn't move, couldn't think. Finally, she pushed him away, her eyes wide. "What the hell do you think you're doing?" she asked, her voice shaking. "How dare you? Get out!" He looked at her, his expression unreadable. "Don't fight it," he said, his eyes locking with hers. "You'll be mine, whether you like it or not." "No!" she said, her voice cracking. "You need to leave, right now. You're not welcome here." He turned and walked toward the door, but before he left, he turned back to look at her. "You can't fight it forever, Anna," he said, his voice low and dark. "You'll be mine." With that, he walked out the door, leaving her alone and shaking. Anna stood in the middle of the room, her mind racing. She couldn't believe what had just happened. Her carefree, fun-loving lifestyle had suddenly turned dangerous. Maybe Tori was right - maybe being so wild and free wasn't such a great idea after all. Perhaps as a model with attractive features, she should have been more careful not to draw attention to herself. ********* "Here's your coffee," Tori said, handing Anna a cup of steaming java. "Thanks," Anna replied, taking a sip. "So, how are you?" Tori asked, a concerned look on her face. "Not great," Anna sighed. "He won't leave me alone. He keeps sending me gifts and flowers and showing up at my apartment. I feel smothered." "I'm so sorry," Tori said, reaching out to give Anna's hand a squeeze. Anna gestures to the wrapped up gifts in her room. “I have no space to breathe in my own apartment” “I can see that, but these are limited edition designers”, Tori said, “if you don’t need them, I do”, she added. “Please help yourself” Anna gestured. "You're not going to believe this," Tori said, a note of excitement in her voice. "I did some research on the guy who's been sending you all those gifts. You're not going to believe who he is." Anna's heart was racing. "Who is it?" she asked, a little afraid of the answer. "THE Rae Dawson," Tori said, her voice full of awe. "You know, the CEO of the Dawson company." "Wait a minute," Anna said, her voice trembling. "Are you saying that the guy sending me all these gifts is the same one who's the CEO of the company I had a contract with to model for their new brand?” Anna asked in shock. Tori nodded. "Yup. It's the same guy. I don't know what to make of it, but it's pretty crazy, right?" Anna felt a knot forming in her stomach. She had no idea what to think. What could this man possibly want from her? And why was he being so persistent? "The contract ended months ago," Anna said, her voice quivering. "Why is he bothering me now?" Tori shrugged. "I don't know," she said. "But it seems like he's really interested in you. Maybe you should give him a chance?" Anna shook her head. "I've been single my whole life because I choose to be," she said, her voice growing defensive. "And I don't have a wall around my heart. I just know what I want and what I don't want." "I know you've been hurt before," she said, "but not everyone is going to abandon you the way your dad did. It's not fair to assume that everyone is going to leave you." Tori's words stung, but Anna knew she was only trying to help. Anna stiffened. "We made a pact never to talk about my dad," she said, her voice growing cold. "Why are you bringing him up now?" "I'm sorry," Tori said, her eyes full of regret. "I shouldn't have brought up your dad. I just want you to know that not everyone is like him. And maybe you should sit down with Rae and be honest with him about how you feel. Maybe if he sees how serious you are about not being interested, he'll back off." Anna took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. She knew Tori was only trying to help, but it was hard to hear her talk about her dad. She still had so much anger and pain tied up in that relationship. "You know, you're right," Anna said after a moment. "I'll set up a meeting with him and be completely honest. I'll let him know that I'm not interested in pursuing anything further." Tori smiled. "That's the spirit," she said. "Just be direct and clear. He'll get the message, I'm sure of it." Anna nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. "Thanks, Tori," she said. "I feel better already."
