I wake up, my skin boiling. I cling to sleep as I fight to get my hoodie off, trying to navigate and pull it my body without opening my eyes. My elbow hits something that isn’t a pillow, and a grunt of pain whistles out of teeth. “Max, f**k,” Logan groans, but I refuse to open my eyes to see what’s going on. I’m still fighting with my hoodie, too tired to move and drag it off my body. “Do you want some help?” “Mmmm,” I murmur, frowning now since I’m more awake than I was a few seconds ago.
