“She finally answered me,” Ivy said, coming into our office.
She has been gone three years and we couldn’t find her. There was no trace of her at all. We sent out emails to other alphas and looked everywhere we could think of, and nothing turned up.
“Where is she?” I asked her.
“She wouldn’t tell me. I begged her to come home, but she thinks it will still put everyone in danger and that you will also hate her.”
“Never,” Dax growled.
“Call her again,” Skoll growled. He was pushing forward, more desperate for his mate.
We watched as she hit send and placed it on speakerphone. It rang several times before going to voice mail.
