Mitch and Ellen entered the bar and found Nick and John amongst the crowd of after-work drinkers.
“So?” John asked.
“Sam’s back,” Mitch told him.
John nodded. “Good, I think given her new focus and the self-improvement she’s been doing that it will work out fine.”
Ellen smiled. “It will be like old times.”
“I’ll get this round,” Mitch said, heading to the bar.
“Here she is.” Nick looked around Mitch to Samantha entering.
She raced in and embraced Ellen, John and Nick. She began to tell them about her new certificates.
“Don’t mention it again when Mitch comes back in case he makes me do that parachuting course I haven’t done yet,” Ellen said. She looked at John. “Damn, did I just say that?”
John laughed. “Your secret’s safe with me Ellie, for now.”
