Brief Preview

"Throw him out," Jayden ordered. But none of them dared touch Alex which was strange. They only stood there waiting for him to comply.

Adriel caught Alex's eyes and she could tell he didn't want to leave without her.

"You're not safe with him Adri. He's going to hurt you. Please come with me and I'll explain everything to you." Alex pleaded. Adriel didn't miss the glare Jayden shot at him.

"The only one who's hurt me here is you." She told him.

She cursed herself for letting the words come out so shaky.

"All he's done is protect me Alex and love me. I'm safer with him than with you." She said. Her stomach churned when she saw the hurt look past his face. She looked away, swallowing the slight guilt she felt.

"Come on Dri, let's go." Jayden held her hand. She turned, following him without looking back.

"Adri, please I-" Alex tried to say but Jayden was already out the door, taking her with him.
