Alex looked at the petite girl beside him. She'd fallen asleep as they drove through school to their apartment. He let his eyes trace every line and turn of her face. He'd always found her beautiful, inside out, he still did. She was all he had left. He would protect her with his life. He owed her that much. He sighed looking ahead.
