Alex looked at the petite girl beside him. She'd fallen asleep as they drove through school to their apartment. He let his eyes trace every line and turn of her face. He'd always found her beautiful, inside out, he still did.
She was all he had left. He would protect her with his life. He owed her that much. He sighed looking ahead.
He loved her, but he'd never confessed it out loud though. She was way too good for him. Every time she smiled, everything seemed a little bit brighter.
