WHO IS ELYXI?

POV(KAIA)

I slowly looked up and a headless body was hanging on the tree, a red eyed monkey was feasting on his body as the blood dripped.

I screamed and my so called guardian started looking around without looking up.

"It's up here!" I screamed and he pulled me from the spot immediately. The moment he looked up, the monkey ran away.

I gripped my chest, panting heavily and watched in horror as the body slipped down the tree.

"What was that thing?" I asked and he bent slowly, examining the body with the knife.

"Corpse eating monkeys, they feast on dead Bodies. They're not dangerous, you can frighten them and they'll run away." He stabbed the chest with the knife and ripped it open. He placed his palm on the open area and stood up.

"What was that for?" I inquired and he kicked the body, letting it roll down the hill.

"If I don't get rid of the heart, it'll turn into an evil spirit." He turned to me and raised an eyebrow"any more questions Woman?" He said and I bit my lips.

"Kaia," I corrected him. "My name is Kaia." I repeated and he wiped the blood of the knife.

"The blood is still fresh, they haven't gotten far."

"Who are you talking about?"

"The people who are after you, they're called the night howlers. This dead one is one of them." He explained and there was a loud thump when the body hit the water.

"Aren't you one of them?" He didn't seem offended and just continued walking, I just tailed behind.

"I'm a werewolf, They're hybrids. A half Wolf and half evil spirit. They don't represent the red moon, their only instinct is to find and kill. Their Queen has a grudge against you so they have to find you and feed your heart to her so you would never get reincarnated again." The moment he said this, my heart skipped a beat. Maybe I shouldn't have asked questions.

"They look so normal, how can you tell if they're night howlers?" I asked and he stopped walking.

"I can't tell if they're night howlers, but you can tell. You're Elyxi after all." His voice was now very cold and loud but I kept fighting the urge to ask him who Elyxi was.

"Don't they all have similar symbols on their neck?" I asked and he turned.

"Only you can see that symbol, I can't see that symbol, no one else can." He started walking again and my belly made a rumbling noise.

He suddenly stopped and turned to me slowly hushing me with his finger over his lips.

"Did you hear that? That rumbling noise?" He said this with a serious expression and I wanted to laugh.

"It was my belly, can't you tell? I'm hungry." I complained and he frowned and continued walking like I didn't say anything.

"Do you eat normal food?" My voice was now very loud.

"What do you think I eat Kiya?" He said and I frowned. "It's Kaia. KAI-YA!" I yelled. he smirked and continued walking.

There was a strong silence as we walked and I decided to ask him who Elyxi was.

"Who is Elyxi?" I popped the question and he paused for a while and turned to me.

"You're Elyxi, you should know who you are and the things you did."

"Did the blood drip on your body?" My guardian asked and I nodded.
