Elliana POV I left Victor’s office and shut the door behind me, making a bee line for the staircase. I ran, not stopping until I made it to my bedroom door. Once inside my room, my back pressed to the wall, I slid down until I sat on the floor. My face buried between my knees. For a while, I held myself there, trying to find some sense of comfort, no matter how small. An achy pain sat idle in the back of my throat as I pushed back the tears.
