THE PROPOSAL
I froze, unable to move. I stared at James' body as it floated on the water. My senses became numb. My heart was ripped out of my rib cage. Looking at him like that was more excruciating pain, knowing I couldn’t help him. I would rather die trying to save him. I am about to climb the railings to rescue him. Waiting kills me. At least we died together.
Sumampa ako sa railings. Akma akong tatalon ng marinig ko ang chopper. Napaangat ako ng tingin.
