Chapter two: Moving on🖤😓😓

Luckily.....

After some days, with the support of her friends and family, Mia decides to resume work because the hotel mailed her last week that they would free her off her duties if she doesn't resume before the next month begins, so she had no option but to get back to work, she wouldn't want to add cashless to her heart break.

[At the hotel]

"I heard what happened in your relationship, I'm really sorry"Ken(mia's colic) said to her, while patting her back

"It's fine, I'm over it" mia replied "well.. as you can see, I'm back to work ebulliently like nothing happened, so no need to worry"Mia says with a calm cheerful tone, with a smile on her face

"That son of a b***h, a wedding I've planned and prepared for, now what would happen to my designer suit, I planned to cause commotion in that wedding with my appearance, buh he ruined everything 😏😏"Ken complained Soo disappointed at Alex

" You should keep the designer suit safe in your wardrobe, there definitely would be a wedding soon " mia encouraged Ken and they both chuckled

While Mia was busy gisting with Ken in the kitchen, she forgot that she put some chopped beef in the oven, that was supposed to be used for fried rice, and no one noticed, until Alvin,(another kitchen colic) went to put some cupcakes, and he practically ran away immediately he opened the oven, the entire kitchen polluted with burnt smoke, and no one could recognize the beef.

"Wh .... Who on earth did this?" Alvin asked coughing and panting

"Ohhh.. my.. gosh... I'm Soo sorry, I forgot" Mia said as she jumped up from the chair, put on hand gloves and attempted bringing the burnt beef out of the oven

"The food manager has warned us not to discuss while in the kitchen, it's bad manners, but no... You were busy talking with Ken who has finished his work for the day"cart(another kitchen colic) blared bitchy words at mia(she never likes mia) "just pray this smoke doesn't reach the restaurant or people's lodge, or you would get fired today"she completed

Mia ignore her , while Ken tries to bring the beef out of the oven.

"Please take that trash is off the oven quickly, let me make this pancakes, it's my last work for the day"Ken said harshly (he acts and looks like a teenage girl, but he's actually a full grown man who fancies female characters)

Mia and Ken planned to throw the burnt beef into the bin and quickly make another one, so mia poured them all into a basket and walked towards the waste bin to throw them away, but a harsh voice came into the kitchen loudly

"Freeze!!!" Said Mr Baker (he's the kitchen manager and a professional chef and Baker, he's in his late sixties and uses a walking stick

Mia tries to deceive his eyes and quickly pour the beef into the bin but he says again

"I said freeze woman" he said to Mia who quickly hid the basket of burnt beef behind her

"What is it I smell in here?" Mr Baker asked walking around the kitchen and sniffing

" No... Nothing sir "we are almost done sir"Alvin said shivering

" I smell burnt, what did y'all burn in this kitchen"Mr Baker asked as he quickly opened the oven but saw pancakes instead.

" Can someone tell where this smell is coming from?" Mr Baker asked

" Actually it's coming from the next building"Ken said

" The building is far from this building, how can you say it's coming from there?? "Mr Baker asked

" Ohh, am sure you are not aware, there's a new building behind our hotel, and I think it's used for restaurant"Ken lied

" How come I didn't notice? "Mr Baker asked surprised

" Sir... Your sight is bad, have your forgotten" Samson (another colic) said

" Okay get back to work immediately, our orders are increasing"Mr Baker said, and walked out of the kitchen

Mia sighed

" Nice play, you might not be soo lucky next time" cart said to Mia, and sashayed out of the kitchen.

According to some of the colics(cart is such swine, a lazy, aggressive, annoying lady, who doesn't like Mia because she thinks mia is a pioneer, and an annoying smart Atec, she grabs mia's slightest mistakes and reports to the manager, to fire her, for some reasons she thinks mia is competing with her, because everyone praises mia a lot. While Ken is mia's best male friend in the hotel.

Friday Eve

Emma and Alice decided to visit Mia at the hotel, since it's Friday, they made plans to take Mia out after work to cheer her up, buh when they arrived at the hotel to pick Mia, she told them that she still had a lot of work to do because the day was tough. Emma and Alice volunteered to assist Mia, to make the work faster.

Each holding a flat silver tray with white bathing towels in it, Mia and Alice walked through the hallway, they both were going to the VIP guests lodges for celebrities and rich people also, to deliver the towel to a celebrity who checked-in earlier and an old business man who would be leaving the hotel tonight.

Giggling and lost in their discussion, Mia didn't notice when they reached the stairs and before she could place another feet forward, she tripped over and almost fell but she didn't care as she stared at what her eyes presented to her up the stairs, even Alice didn't care about what was going on, she only focused on the creature standing up the stairs.

"O M G... ... ..... Who the hell is that??!!!!!" Alice exclaimed

Mia froze in despair, her heart was beginning to betray her again, as she gazed upon the beauty of what she could see. He looks so good, the most compellingly attractive man any woman would dream of, a stray curl of black hair flopped over his broad forehead (Soo short), Mia's eyes lingered on him as he stood there making a call over his phone, his long-long legs carefully and slowly walking down the stairs, his brown eyes drizzling from there like crystal, his very broad muscular arm were noticable through his designer suit, giving that african appearance as his left hand fit into his trouser pocket and his other hand held his very expensive phone.

"The word 'mancho' , 'tough', 'compromising', would have been invented for this man (Mia thought), Alice twisted her lips and stared at him in agape, she seemed to be lost in the same world as Mia. When he reached the girls, they didn't even notice, they starred at him like fools until he spoke

"Excuse me..." He said

Mia fell mysteriously to the floor, not caring, she continued staring at him, "only a fool would take a chance to stop looking at him"mia thought.
