“Thank you for coming.” Laurel whispers to Electra. “Even though you don’t like hospitals. This means a lot to me.” Electra responds to the older woman with a smile. She doesn’t hate hospitals. Not that she exactly likes it, but Electra can stand it. It’s her father who hates it, and everything he hates, Electra is supposed to hate too. “This is the worst part of the visit.” Laurel speaks. “The waiting.” She clarifies as she catches Electra’s look of confusion. They are seated in the doctor’s office, awaiting the result of Laurel’s test. Electra examines the office. Her eyes rove over the table. Dr. Mac Lewis sits on a silver nameplate.
