“How long have your countries been at war?”
“Long before there has been recorded history,” Egan answered.
The soosh moved at a rapid pace. It was almost as if they were aware of the fact that they were heading for home, and were in a hurry to get there.
In her peripheral sight, Genesee could see that the wound underneath the costell’s eye continued to bother him. Every now and then he’d dab at it with his sleeve, even though the s***h didn’t bleed. Pretending not to see him mess with it, she watched the passing scenery.
“What is the history of your planet? I’m curious to know the circumstances as to how your countries and customs came about.”
