Attempt
With a few hours of sleep and breakfast under her belt, Genesee was able to pay closer attention to the town as they passed through it. The inn sat almost in the center of Goddenslau, and not far from the landing field. She stared out over the piece of flat, barren earth, and a wisp of homesickness floated over her.
“Regretting coming here?”
She slowly shook her head. “I do miss my family and those who are as close to me as family, but I don’t regret coming here.” She finally graced him with a small smile. “Remember, this is my first time away. I was told the first couple of times would be hard, but it will get easier on subsequent sales.”
