As Nadia was overjoyed , and instinctively turned over to the next page , there she met with a small problem . There was another inscription , and that was hidden in between words too .

It was about the Dagger of Assad , and that only a certain type of people could use it . Now she got the meaning behind the lines written behind the previous page .

" secrets of the pack . . . "

The lines were talking about wolves .

She had heard lores and stories and legends about them , not even from anyone in the Citadel , but from the village people , who were considered to be mystic . The reason for this was because no one had even seen such a creature there . They existed way back in the olden times , much before the Vampires did . They were not the usual forest wolves . They were of a special kind . Big , aggressive , united in packs , and the most important adjective of all , mighty .

It was said that only after the extinction of themselves did the Vampires emerge . But no one actually saw the reason why they disappeared . Did they , actually ? Or do they still exist somewhere , locked away , for their own existence and others ' safety . They were mystical creatures indeed .

Since they were not normal wolves , but were stronger and had other mystical capabilities that differentiated them and made them more human like , they were known as dire wolves .

Only a true dire wolf can kill the Vampire of the Night .
