CHAPTER 10
I opened my eyes slightly, and my breath caught in my throat as my eyes met with that of Darien, whose nose was inches from mine. I felt butterflies in my belly as I realized he was about to kiss me.
Really? I couldn't believe my eyes. '' Does it mean he's forgotten about what happened?:' I asked myself, and for a moment, we stared at each other. His hot breath fanning my face.
Suddenly, he pulled off, and my eyelids fluttered open. I saw him twitch his jaws. With fisted hands, he got up from the bed and turned his back to me, placing his hands on his waist.
'' How long were you planning to pretend?'' He asked, causing me to blink my eyes rapidly.
What does he mean? I couldn't get a grasp of his words. The last thing I remembered was being in the library and the drink....!
