I stood up to get the door.
I was shocked to see Dora standing at the door, smiling widely at me. I could see the deceit in her eyes as she smiled, but I couldn't just bring myself to believe she’d do such a thing.
"Are you okay?" she questioned when she noticed I wasn't smiling back at her. "Why can't I just bring myself to believe something that's already obvious?"
"I'm fine. Do you need anything?" I asked. I wasn't ready to let her in. She should stand outside and tell me whatever she has to say.
