"We're in trouble."
Qin Tian slowly stood up from the ground, turning his head. Less than ten steps away, a Qingya wolf, its mouth dripping saliva and eyes gleaming with a green light, stared directly at him.
Not just the Qingya wolf, but on the other side of the creek, a Fierce King Tiger walked toward him with a light and graceful pace. The dark forest around them was filled with more than thirty other demon beasts, all with greedy, fierce glows in their eyes, surrounding Qin Tian and Yun Man.
"Do you like roasted demon beast meat?"
Qin Tian became cautious. Most of the demon beasts in the area were second and third-tier, weak and low-level creatures. If he were to face them one-on-one, he wouldn't be afraid at all. But now, with over thirty of them surrounding him, it was a different story. If they all attacked together, his only option would be to escape. Moreover, he had to look after the frightened Yun Man.
Yun Man, sensing the danger, stood up and glared at the Fierce King Tiger walking toward them. Suddenly, her face twisted into a fierce expression, and she shouted angrily, "How dare you disturb me while I'm having breakfast? You'll pay for this!"
"Cloud Step!"
Yun Man snorted coldly, stepped on the ground with one foot, and her body suddenly floated into the air, like walking on clouds, graceful and light, as if a fairy was gliding through the mist. It was a stunning sight.
Qin Tian was unable to stop her in time. There were dozens of demon beasts around, and acting rashly might provoke a group assault. They needed to come up with a strategy, or it would be difficult to escape once surrounded.
But before Qin Tian could even move, Yun Man, floating mid-air, sent out two silk ribbons from her sleeves. The ribbons whipped out like vicious snakes, but with the force of steel spears. They shot straight toward the Fierce King Tiger's head.
"Roar..."
With a burst of blood, the head of the Fierce King Tiger was pierced by the ribbons, two b****y holes appearing instantly, and it collapsed to the ground, eyes rolling back in death.
It was dead.
A second-tier beast, the Fierce King Tiger, had been killed with one move.
Qin Tian was stunned, watching as the beast fell. Yun Man hovered in mid-air, her face twisted in anger, like a child whose candy was taken away, looking extremely displeased.
With the Fierce King Tiger dead, Yun Man immediately retrieved her ribbons and struck down again with a ferocious force, as if venting her frustration.
"Damn, this loli is way too violent!"
"Isn’t this a bit too b****y?"
Qin Tian was speechless, unable to believe his eyes. Was this really the same loli who had fainted from fear earlier? She was completely different now, almost like a ruthless murderer, with no hesitation in her movements.
No wonder they say a woman's heart is as deep as the sea. Her appearance was that of a loli, but her heart was that of a violent maniac.
Yun Man, returning to Qin Tian’s side, looked down at the Fierce King Tiger twitching in a pool of blood and suddenly exclaimed, "This is too bloody... How cruel!"
Qin Tian stared at her like she was a monster.
The death of the Fierce King Tiger had a certain deterrent effect on the surrounding demon beasts. Yun Man’s violent display had caused several of them to retreat several steps in fear. Looking around, she smiled mischievously and said, "Time to eat fish."
"Smells so good."
"This is really delicious."
"Don’t just stand there. Come sit and eat."
"I saved the fish head for you..."
Yun Man, not caring about her image as a lady, started eating without any restraint. Her face was covered in soot, looking like a little kitten, occasionally looking up at Qin Tian with a mischievous smile, completely ignoring the brutality of what had just happened.
Qin Tian was dumbfounded. Watching her eat so happily, he couldn’t help swallowing several times. His stomach growled, but seeing the fish head she had left behind, he suppressed his hunger, l*****g his dry lips, and rushed into the forest to start killing.
He decided to hold off on eating for now. With so many beasts around, this was too good of an opportunity to waste.
Though Qin Tian had been concerned for Yun Man’s safety, it was clear now that such worries were unnecessary. He had no idea what level of martial artist she was, but she could perform Cloud Step and hover in mid-air, indicating she was no less than a Martial Artist of the 9th level. This was only one step away from the Spirit Movement realm.
Compared to her, figures like Qin Kun and Qin Yang, touted as geniuses, seemed utterly weak.
Qin Tian was in awe of her power, utterly shocked by the suddenness of it all.
"Hey, don’t run off. I... I’m scared," Yun Man called out, holding a half-eaten roasted fish, running toward him with a somewhat frantic and fearful expression.
Qin Tian silently cursed. You’re scared? I should be the one scared!
At this point, he didn’t have time to care. Killing the monsters and gaining experience was his priority. His hands never stopped moving, and the pressure of his Qi filled the air, making the demon beasts angry and more aggressive.
Unlike Yun Man, who was surrounded by the beasts but easily dealt with them, Qin Tian had to deal with them head-on. Some of the demon beasts, particularly those of the second and third tier, knew how to target the weaker opponents. They were afraid of Yun Man, but they saw Qin Tian as an easy target.
A group of ten or more demon beasts pounced on him, but Qin Tian remained calm, handling each one carefully. Still, he was occasionally hit, and a third-tier Long-Arm Giant Beast managed to rake its claws across his back, tearing his clothes and leaving deep gashes that bled profusely.
He was also bitten by a Sky Spider on his thigh, but thankfully it wasn’t venomous, or he wouldn’t have been able to keep fighting.
"Hey, are you alright? Should I help you?" Yun Man called out as she watched Qin Tian surrounded by the demon beasts. Her concern was evident, and she could see the blood soaking his back and thigh.
But as her ribbons grew sharper in her worry, Qin Tian’s pressure only increased. The demon beasts were attracted by the blood scent and grew even more vicious.
"Just take care of yourself," Qin Tian replied coldly, a smile playing on his lips.
Though surrounded by demon beasts, Qin Tian wasn’t scared. His Qi spread out, and he began systematically taking down the monsters one by one, his punches smashing into the heads of the Qingya wolves and killing them instantly.
As he killed more and more beasts, Qin Tian’s excitement only grew. Though he took a few minor injuries, it didn’t matter. After half an hour, the area was littered with the bodies of demon beasts, each worth a significant amount of experience.
With over thirty demon beasts dead, it was a massive gain. But little did Qin Tian know, someone had been watching from the shadows, waiting for the right moment to strike...
Qin Yang had sensed the smell of the roasting fish and knew something was off. He had been observing the scene from a hidden spot, waiting for the right moment to make his move. Now, he was just biding his time...
He was waiting for the perfect time to strike!
